How Ardevaé came to be.
Ardevaé was founded in 2024 out of frustration with a simple problem: it had become nearly impossible to buy a piece of furniture in India that was made for you, made well, and made to last. The choice was between mass-produced flat-pack and imported luxury with a logo attached.
We built an atelier instead. Every Ardevaé piece is made to order after it is commissioned — there is no warehouse. Clients choose the timber, the finish, the dimensions and the upholstery, working directly with our designers and the craftsmen who will build the piece.
The result is furniture that behaves like an heirloom rather than an expense: solid-wood construction, traditional joinery, finishes chosen for decades of service, and a workshop that will restore what it made, however long ago.

Do you keep stock?+
No. Every piece is made after it is commissioned, which is why each one can be tailored to you.
How long does a commission take?+
Typically eight to fourteen weeks depending on complexity, timber availability and finish.
Can I see materials before ordering?+
Yes. Timber, finish and fabric samples are sent or shown in person before any piece is built.
Do you work with designers and architects?+
Frequently. A dedicated trade programme for design practices is in development.
