How Yamuna Resort came to be.
The Yamuna Resort & Restaurant is where the group began. Opened in 2016 in the Uttarakhand hills, it was the first Mrineh business — a small property built around slow mornings, considered rooms and a kitchen that tasted of the valley it sat in.
It taught us how to run something well over a long time: how to hire locally and train patiently, how to source from the hills rather than the city, and how to build a place people return to for years rather than visit once.
In 2026 the resort reopens after a thoughtful renewal — additional suites, an expanded seasonal restaurant and dedicated long-stay programmes for writers, teams and thinkers — held to the same standard that started everything.
